Product Description
Angular contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced with respect to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. They are designed to accommodate combined loads, supporting radial and axial loads simultaneously. The axial load carrying capacity increases with the increasing contact angle α (typically 10 to 45 degrees).
Working Principle: Using axially asymmetric races, an axial load passes in a straight line through the bearing, while radial loads take an oblique path. This design ensures better support for combined loading in both radial and axial directions.
